The Black Widows use a suite of tools to conduct their investigations including Computer Forensics Toolkits such as the more popular Encase and FTK. These tools, made up of both hardware and software, allow the detailed examination of files on a computer, even if the files have been deleted.

They may also use a device such as the SnoopStick to gain covert access to a computer's files and all keystrokes typed.

They also make use of covert cameras like the one shown here that appears to be a standard ballcap, but actually conceals hidden video cameras. BallCapCam
